Closet Rod Covers Covering Up Ugly Closet Doors?

I moved into an apartment. The apartment is larger. In my room I have a closet full length of the wall. The cupboard doors are taller and not very elegant. What can I do for these cabinet doors, is not so clear? I thought, hang on a pole that goes the entire length of the room and hang a curtain to cover over cabinet doors. My room is pink and brown. Ideas to help?
